ALF is a character created by Paul Fusco in the 1980s. Paul and his writing partner Tom Patchett pitched the idea of a sitcom with ALF to NBC in 1985, the show began soon after. ALF only grew from there, Gaining two cartoon shows, a video game, and his own comic series!

ALF had three shows in total,

ALF Tales (1988-1989)

ALF's comic had fifty issues of the original series along with three annual issues, Three specials, two magazines, and one mini comic! (Released from 1988-1992) There were also ALF puppets and dolls, Some of which talked! (All of these are still available for purchase on sites like eBay)

ALF not so fun facts

ALF was originally played by Michu Meszaros in a costume (season 1). In season two this was changed due to breathing difficulties. ALF became a puppet.

By season Four the cast was sick of ALF (Paul Fusco), being one of the reasons the show ended.

Paul Fusco always stayed in character on the set of ALF, this became frustrating to the other cast members.

ALF's sitcom originally ended with 'to be continued' because a fifth season was expected, after the show was canceled they removed this. After a six year old cliffhanger, they released a movie.
